Our regular meetings offer a wide variety of activities, from formal dinners to casual social nights and high profile lectures through to jam sessions and workshops. Some occasions are open to everyone whereas others must be kept behind closed doors. If there’s something here you like the look of but aren’t a member and might like to come along, please just get in touch. In the meantime, here’s what we’re getting up to…
Unless otherwise stated, the time and venue will be ‘the usual’.
Disclaimer: Please be aware that in the albeit extremely rare event of unforeseen and/OR unavoidable circumstances, meeting dates and/or content may be subject to change at short notice. Should this be the case on any occasion we will broadcast the change as soon as possible along with our apologies for any disappointment caused.
CLUBHOUSE OPEN - Let's meet for real!
It's been a while, right? Well we've just had the news that our usual venue is now open for us to get together again in person. How great is that!?
So tonight we're thinking a nice casual social gathering is in order, keeping safe of course. Usual time, usual place. It'll be great to see you if you can and would like to get along. Don't feel obliged though; it's not an easy road back to "normality" for some, and we totally understand that.
COVID MEASURES - Keeping Safe
The Yacht Club has set in place a number of measures to help keep people safe under current circumstances. Regardless of the fact that national restrictions have for the most part been lifted, it is still the responsibility of clubs, organisations, and individuals to make efforts to keep themselves and others safe from the risks of infection and its exponential spread. With this in mind, we respectfully ask that all members and guests adhere to the guidelines as follows:
Masks should be worn in the building, but may be removed when sat at tables and eating or drinking.
When visiting the bar, customers should stand back when ordering, and not lean on the bar (for a chat, etc.).
Please keep the handling of your props (cards, etc.) by others to a minimum and avoid it if at all possible.
Alongside the above, windows will be open for ventialtion, and hand sanitiser will be made available for use (and we urge you to use it).
