Just been on the CMS website for the first time. My father Rendle Morris was a founder member back in 1954 and would be very impressed and proud to see such a progression in the CMS and indeed to wonders of modern technology (ie your website!!) I along with my wife Chris, practised magic for 10 years professionaly before moving here to Spain in 2002. We now run a Coffee house in a small Spanish village, ( a totally different life) We would like to send our best wishes to all the members who would remember us...keep up the good work...Regards Howard * Chris

Just been having a look at your web site and was very impressed. I found it very informative and well structured. I'm the current President of the MML and I'm planning to come down to Cardiff in 2009 to visit a good friend, Paul Anthony (Ashley). So I hope to have the opportunity to meet up with The CMS then.

I have fond memories of the time spent in the company of local magicians in Cardiff's famous CMS (Cardiff Magical Society), and remember Rendle Morris with particular fondness. Rendle helped me when I was a young man, and took me to many of his shows helping me overcome nerves. I suffered from nerves and metal items tended to rattle when I handled them, which limited me to using silks etc. I later became professional and continued enjoying and practicing magic until ill health forced me to abandon it. Now I have a different form of magic in my skill as a paper-sculptor, with many television, major exhibitions and works for the royal family to my credit. To me life itself is magic. I wish all members of the CMS a long and happy life, giving joy and happiness with their own brand of magic.

hi guys, im chris, 23 from newport. ive been learning magic for a while now, mainly card effects and close up street magic. i think this is the raw style of magic that hits people hard and gets great reactions. I aint to keen on using gaf decks so that i can do the effects i know using a borrowed deck. im looking to try and improve my slieghts and learn some more. if there is anyone out there interested in the same style of magic as me please get in contact with me (theaceofspades2009uk@hotmail. co.uk) thanks.

What a fantastic day, enjoyed every moment. The whole day was very well run. I enjoyed the close-up sessions as this is what I am most interested in, I especially enjoyed the performance by James Piper. The evening show was spectacular even though you had a little trouble with the mics! You handled it very well. Can't wait till next year!

A great day, the first magic event I have ever attended. It was informal and friendly and very well organised. My wife joined me for the evening show which we both thoroughly enjoyed. Well done to everyone involved; I look foward to many more

Absolutely MAGIC, this is what we have been waiting for not just in Wales but in the Uk, I attended another well known long standing convention only a few weeks ago with hundreds attending and it was good but nowhere near your day. The evening magic show was just one big party of magic! I was just as impressed by the compares as much as the acts, what a great idea for them to entertain us as well they were so informal... Well done everyone...Cant wait for the next one
